RDIF, Mumtalakat, Binnopharm to build Sputnik V plant in Bahrain

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 3 (PRIME) -- The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), sovereign fund of Bahrain Mumtalakat and Binnopharm Group have agreed to build a facility to produce the Sputnik V anti-coronavirus vaccine in Bahrain, the RDIF said in a statement on Thursday.

"The RDIF, Mumtalakat Holding Company and Binnopharm Group (part of AFK Sistema) have signed an agreement to build a facility producing Russia’s Sputnik V vaccine in the Kingdom of Bahrain, whose products will be shipped to markets of the Middle East and North Africa," the fund said.

The signing of the deal took place at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
